There are a total of around 500 works of art in the permanent collection of the Massur Museum of Art, including works by regional artists, works by internationally known artists, and recently entire series of works commissioned from individual artists. Analyzing these groups in the context of American art and history can help us understand their meanings as a whole.

Each year, the Massur Museum of Art offers a wide variety of arts education workshops. Local and visiting institutions of higher learning conduct these workshops. A maximum of ten participants will be able to receive plenty of personal instruction during each workshop. In addition, workshops are available on a variety of topics including printmaking, multi-media, collage, quilling, paintings, and drawing.

At the Massur Museum of Art, children of all ages participate in arts education workshops. In addition to a fellow curator of education and public programs from the Massur Museum of Art, professional arts educators from the area will lead the workshops for children! Almost every workshop has a maximum class size of ten participants, meaning that participants receive plenty of one-on-one instruction.
