The Louisiana Purchase Garden and Zoo has a lot to offer

Feeding the animals is not allowed!

Most animals at the Zoo are fed special diets, and feeding is not permitted unless the zookeeper instructs you otherwise. Dispensers feed fish, ducks, swans, and turtles’ nutritional food on the lagoon viewing deck. Please be aware that animals will stop eating when food has been consumed.

Have a great time!

Take a look at some of the wonders of the world! Discover over 500 animals and nearly a thousand plant species at the Zoo, in a picturesque and relaxing setting!

Don’t let anything go wrong!

Even in captivity, animals remain wild. Keep an eye on your step. Parents need to keep an eye on their children and ensure that they do not wander off the walking trails, cross fence lines or touch the animals.

Take a moment to listen!

The naturalistic habitats in which the animals live provide a safe and comfortable environment. Be patient and wait for your favorite animal to appear if you don’t see it immediately. If necessary, you can return later.
